Water of Life

In such a vast emptiness I found togetherness
I had my fill of serenity
The wind, breezy and faintly warm, with rays of the tolerant sun kissed and caressed my body
The initial and all consuming anxiety fell way to the gentle, powerful push of the water

I felt the love of the world
I felt the balance of it, push and pull
I experienced insanity mold into peace
I witnessed it all in a way I never had
Until the moment I stood, facing the world larger than myself welcome me in
The moment nature chose to share with such a small soul
A shift took place within me
For I knew perfection in calamity when I knew the ocean

The feeling was not of happiness, but of calm contentment
As much as I might try to explain and describe, I can do neither justice
To be there, to know fear and anger and effortlessly release it from your heart, that I cannot make you understand

Stand within the tide and breathe with the sea
You will know life like never before
