Dear “Forgotten” and Gone
(Nov. 18, 2012)
Each night I pray,
Your haven is always within the words
Each day I live,
You manage to remind me you once were there
You’re not with me,
But I’m with you,
Perhaps not always,
But sometimes will do.
I remember everything,
Because everything about you is significant,
It was so then,
But more so now.
Each time I remember,
I wonder what I can do.
But there is nothing,
Nothing within my humanly powers,
Within my young will,
Within my moment of this life,
To bring you back.
Where you are I wish I knew,
Knowing would lessen the pang.
But I do not,
And cannot change,
The fact of your disappearance.
Still you are never really gone,
In my heart I believe in you,
Wherever you are.
You, my friends that have gone without word,
Each time I pray,
We meet again.
